The bodies that set the spec
Passports and travel documents are issued by the Migration Service (Muassisai Davlatii "Khidmati Muhojirat"). Internal identity documents and registration are handled by units under the Ministry of Internal Affairs (Vazorati Umuri Dohili). Both agencies use the 35×45 mm white-background standard.

• A non-white background: grey, cream or coloured backdrops are rejected. • A photo older than six months from the capture date. • A smile, visible teeth or an open mouth. • Glasses glare or tinted lenses. • Head too small in the frame or poorly aligned.
