With the PhotoID Studio desktop app you can create a custom photo size for any document used in any country, save it as a preset, and reuse your saved preset with a single click.

Always verify the size before an official application

The information here reflects the sizes commonly accepted for visa applications. Authorities can change photo requirements without prior notice, and different documents in the same country (passport, ID card, driving licence, residence permit) may require different sizes. Check the current guidance of the authority you are applying to before preparing your photo.

How should a Morocco visa photo look?

The backdrop decides a Moroccan photo: an even white, with no shadow falling behind the head. ICAO 9303 covers the rest: 35×45 mm at 300 dpi, the head near 70% of the height, and 3-5 mm left clear above the hair.

One format, three documents

Passport, CNIE card and visa applications all take the same photo, reviewed against the ICAO 9303 criteria.

What PhotoID Studio does

The app replaces the background with uniform white, shadows included. It then crops to 35×45 mm, sets the head at 70% and saves a 300 dpi print file.

Set the light first

Stand a step away from the wall and face a window. Frontal light keeps both the face and the white backdrop free of shadows.

Common rejection reasons

• Background not evenly white. • Shadow behind the head or on the face. • Head height clearly off the 70% mark. • No 3-5 mm gap above the hair.

Cost and printing

A PhotoID Studio subscription covers your photo work. Any photo counter can print the finished 35×45 mm file.

Frequently asked questions

Does one photo cover the passport and the CNIE card?

Yes. Both use 35×45 mm on a white background, and visa applications accept the same format.

Why is the background checked so strictly?

ICAO 9303 counts uneven white or any shadow as a defect, and rejections often start there.
