Iraqi biometric e-passports (jawaz safar iliktrooni) are issued by the Directorate of Nationality (Mudiriyyat al-Jinsiyya) under the Ministry of Interior. Applications for the biometric national identity card (hawiyya wataniyya) are also processed through the same ministry.
